[RESOLVED] Changing the date format

[RESOLVED] Changing the date format was created by emperor_nld
Goodmorning,
I create 2 new date fields. In the "new add" form, the date field shows, when selected by the calendar, the format: m-d-Y.
In the list view these fields displays in the same way.
The (system) publication date field however shows the yyyy-m-d format.
I want all date fields to show the date in the format: d-m-Y.

I changed the ADSMANAGER_DATE_FORMAT_LC in %d-%m-%Y (in stead of: %m-%d-%Y) in the language file, as described earlier, but it doesn't work.

Anyone any suggestion, please!

Thx a lot,
Ronald

Hello,

You have changed the correct language string.

All you have to do now is select the date again in your ads.

The format is set when the ad is saved.

Thanks a lot for the answer, but it doesn't work.
It still keeps the wrong format.

When I look to the generated page code I see that the ifFormat is in the wrong format

<part of the javascriptcode>
window.addEvent('domready', function() {Calendar.setup({
// Id of the input field
inputField: "ad_datumladen",
// Format of the input field
ifFormat: "%m-%d-%Y",
// Trigger for the calendar (button ID)
button: "ad_datumladen_img",
// Alignment (defaults to "Bl")
align: "Tl",
singleClick: true,
firstDay: 1
});});
</ end of the code>

The parameters in the en-GB.com_adsmanager.ini are set as below
ADSMANAGER_DATE_FORMAT_LC="%d-%m-%Y"

Where is that part of javascript created?

Grtz

The code is in helper/fields.php and you will see that the format is based on this language define

The problem is solved. It was caused by the Dutch translation in this case.
When I removed the "_QQ_"_txss from the ADSMANAGER_ORDER_BY_ASC="%s - ASC"_QQ_"_txss; entry the translation and the date format worked excellent.

I downloaded the translation file from your website.

Thx for the help and ideas

Ronald
