Yes, just install the new version (no need to uninstall the old one), your configuration, announcements, categories, etc. .. are not deleted. (however, if you have changed the adsmanager files, the changes will be lost) => See template override for the right method

Can I alter the code ?
Yes, it's open source but we guarantee no more support or functionnalities if you do. You still can reinstall the original component or submit your ideas or projects on the forum.
