AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

The components will be free and no support will be provided anymore for the other users.

[RESOLVED] Front-end saving ad not working was created by lochinvarwest
I've set up Adsmanager and it all seems to be working correctly, however, when saving an ad written in the front end, the ad just disappears. It is not in the ads list (admin section) and does not display on the site. I can write an ad in the back-end no problem.

I have played around with the configuration endlessly with no success. I haven't found anything in the documentation to help either.

Any suggestions?

Answer: The following field in the category config is not being processed correctly if set to -1 (unlimited):
Maximum number of ads (-1 = unlimited).

I suspect the error is somewhere in the controller.php file (around line 420), but it's going to be easier and quicker for me to just set the number at 10000 - yes, I'm being lazy.

Strange. Don't you have any system message ? (check user max nb categories in global and by category settings)

Did you try to activate joomla debug to check SQL error if any.

Checked those. Set to unlimited. No debug errors I can see. Can you point to which file / script processes the vars into the DB? I'm guessing that this script is not throwing an error, but also not processing them. At least I'll be able to do more debugging from that script.

To debug your issue. The best will be to connect to your website. But for that we need you to have a paid subscription.
