[RESOLVED] Cannot install was created by netdragon
Hi, am wanting to test out the free version before I buy but it won't install via extension manager. I am getting the following errors.

JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/ccnews/public_html/administrator/components/com_adsmanager/joomfish

JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/ccnews/public_html/administrator/components/com_adsmanager/falang

Table 'ccnews_news.rdilp_adsmanager_fields' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT count(*) FROM `rdilp_adsmanager_fields` WHERE 1

Should I be uploading through ftp for the free version? If so, are there any instructions as to what folder it should be uploaded to, as there are already existing folders with the same name in the root folder. I did look for documentation but could only find instructions for the paid version, and that was to do it with extension manager as I have already tried.

Thanks.

Hello,

Did you try to install the latest version (3.1.1) ?

I don't have those errors with my test.

Best regards.

Yes, latest version. Thinking that might have a problem, I went back and installed a previous version and had the same issue. Am having no trouble installing other extensions through extension manager.

Seems somebody else has had the exact same problem..in this thread

www.joomprod.com/forum/adsmanager-support/2585-error.html

I see the simple solution you put there, can you expand on that as I am not an expert on sql and need a little more instruction than that.

Hello,

Here are each step to add the table manually in your database.

1. Unzip the archive containing the component.
2. Open 'backend/install.sql'
3. On a browser, go to the phpmyadmin of your server and open the database of your Joomla.
4. Once on the database, click on the tab 'SQL' at the top of the page.
5. Copy-paste all the text in install.sql to the textarea n your browser.
6. Replace all the '#__' by the prefix of your database followed by an underscore.
7. Execute the request by clicking on the button at the bottom right of the textarea.
8. Retry an installation of AdsManager by using the Extensions manager of Joomla.

I hope it will solve the problem.

Best regards.

Ok, well that worked and was able to install, however I still got the following on install...

Warning
JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/ccnews/public_html/administrator/components/com_adsmanager/joomfish

JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/ccnews/public_html/administrator/components/com_adsmanager/falang

So am I to gather the installation was trying to delete those folders and just couldn't find them...in such case I can ignore that warning?
