AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

The components will be free and no support will be provided anymore for the other users.

[RESOLVED] ACL issue was created by willemhendrik
Hello,

Is it possible for the next release to implement Joomla’s ACL for placing ads? I’m working with multiple usergroups and I don’t want them all to be able to place ads.

Let me explain..

I've made a new menuitem "contents-list" and made this menuitem accessible only to accesslevel A ("usergroup A"). The problem I am experiencing is that when I publish a mod_adsmanager_table, usergroup B ("accesslevel B") is unable to view the ads by clicking on the picture of the ad inside the module. That is not what I want, I want them to be able to see them.

But when I unpublish the menuitem, usergroup B is able to view the ad by clicking on the picture in mod_adsmanager_table. That is what I want, but now usergroup B is able to place a new ad by using a direct link and that is not what I want.

So what do I want?
- being able to create a "contents-list" menuitem and asign it to accesslevel A ("usergroup A")
- while usergroup B ("accesslevel B") still being able to see an ad by clicking on the picture in mod_adsmanager_table
- and usergroup B still being unable to place an ad

Or am I doing something wrong here?

Thank you

Same question for columns, is it possible to implement accesslevels for them as well?

You should not limit "viewing" access with access level for menu item. If you just want to limit post ads, just the ACL of adsmanager, for each category you can decide who is allowed to post ad.

There is no ACL for columns, you should wait for AdsManager 3.0 which will give more ACL control over the display of ad and ads

You are right, I limited access to categories and it works the way I want.

Looking forward to Adsmanager 3.0.....any updates on its arrival?

Thanks for your help.
