Datefield acts like textfield was created by emperor_nld

Hello,

When I create a new field in the admin part of adsmanager and select Date as Type, the field created in de Database is a textfield.
The field displays like dd-mm-yyyy, that's Ok, but when sorting this field it orders like text and not like date.
For example: sort the dates: 16-11-2013, 05-12-2013 and 27-12-2013 ASC, results in 05-12-2013, 16-11-2013 and 27-12-2013.
Desc, results in 27-12-2013, 16-11-2013 and 05-12-1013.

So what to do? :unsure:

Yes I agree on this limitation. What I would suggest s to set the format YYYY-mm-dd. and do some code customization when displaying the date to display it like you want something like

date("dmY",strtotime($fieldvalue));

I don't have any short solution to solve this.

Could you please be a bit more specific where i have to do some custimization.
Sorry. I'am not so in to the adsmanager code :-(
