Hello,

When you create a new menu item try to select the parent categories as root categories.

Also, if you are using a component like SH404, try to disable it to see if it works without it.

Best regards.

I have done that but still doesn't work.

I've noticed that the categories links for the content list item for the top menu, or for the All ads link of ads_manager menu shows the following:
/index.php/sebusca/todos%20los_anuncios?rootid=14

when I publish the Content list for root-category 2 (root=19), which is my wanted list "Se vende"

instead of showing:

'index.php/anuncios/todos%20los_anuncios?rootid=14'

being "anuncios" root-category 1 (This is the link that shows when my menu item Content list for category 2 is unpublished),

why does it "jump" to root-category 2 (Se busca)? It does show the ads of category Anuncios, but not the other modules which are the ones for category 2...

need help! hope it is more or less clear what I'm trying to explain, it's also quite difficult by typping it...

Hello,

I need a quick review of your configuration.

You created multiple categories like this:
Category 1
sub cat 1
sub cat 2
Wanted List
sub cat 1
sub cat 2

Then, you created two menu items, one for the Category 1 and one for the Wanted List category.

On those menu items, you let the category option empty and you've selected category 1 as root id for one menu item and Wanted List for the other.

Is that right ?

Best regards.

My categories

Anuncios (root=14)
sub cat 1
sub cat 2
Wanted List (root=19)
sub cat 1
sub cat 2

Now they are all in the same Main Menu with two menu items (content list type), one for each category.

And yes, I let the category option empty and selected Anuncios as root id for one menu item and Wanted List for the other.

Ok, then you can do another test.

Could you try to disable the SEF url rewritting in the configuration of Joomla and click on the two menu link ?
Could you take a look at the url displayed on the browser ? Normally, it will display which root id is used by the page.

Best regards.
