Change the width of a search field was created by Kyja

Hello

I am customizing the mod_adsmanager_search module
And I am wondering if it is possible to change the width of a search field ? I would like to minimize the date field size

I've managed to do so with a regular text field by editing the "size" in the field option. But when I do the same for the date field, nothing changes.

Another question on the advanced search module : which files should be edited to modify the layout ? Are there templates available for the advanced search module ?

Hello,

To customize the field rendering, you will have to edit components/com_adsmanager/helpers/field.php or to try to play with css.

Regarding advanced search module (which is just available with gold version). there is only 1 layout, you will have to override it to improve it.

Thanks, I managed to change the width of the date field.

Can you tell me which file is to be edited to modifiy the layout of a search field ? And which part of the code ?

Hello,

All the files regarding the search module are in : modules\mod_adsmanager_search

The folder 'tmpl' contain a file named default.php.
By modifying this file, you can do what you want, but stay aware that any reinstallation of the module will erase your customization.
