If you reinstall AdsManager, no matter which version, you will keep all your setting, ads, categories, etc...
But, if you have modify the code of the component without using an override, this code will be erased.

There is no limitation number of ads, the limit is what your system can take.

When you buy Gold AdsManager, you will find three other component in the package:
PaidSystem - this component will allow you to manage every payment feature of AdsManager
Invoicing - This component will allow you to manage every invoices generated by AdsManager, paidsystem or VirtualMoney
VirtualMoney - This component will allow you to add a system of Virtual Money to your website.

To made some modification on the CSS file of AdsManager, the process is explain at the same place of the 'no pic' image.

And for your last question, you can select all the category you need by holding the 'control' button of your keyboard when clicking on the options of the select. This way, you will be able to select all the category you need and scroll down the list without lost your selection.
