AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

The components will be free and no support will be provided anymore for the other users.

Hello,

we are currently using another ADS component, which makes us not happy. Unfortunately we are having currently around 5-600 Ads from users and we want to keep them.
Is there a import possibility if we would change to Classified Ads?

Payment extension
We would like to have the registered users (free) to publish their ads for free. But the readers should pay to read the ads. They should pay (ones per year, or per ad) to see the function "contact seller", also they should not see who is the seller before they paid for it.
Is this possible?

Hello,

First, a transfert script might be needed to make the change between your old classified ads component and AdsManager.

For the payment extension, you can create an new user groups named 'reader' for example and use our component usersubs to make the visitor subscribe to a subscription. After the payment, he will be part of the reader group and will be able to see the contact of the ads.

May I ask what component you used before AdsManager ? It might give me an insight about the import script needed to the ads.
