[SOLVED] How to activate German Pack in adsmanager was created by gustl
Hello!

I have been testing the free version of adsmanager now for three days.
Joomla Version 3.6.5

I am not able to get the german language pack to run.
I am not able to get extensions/language/Overrides to translate any of the words I would need.

german language pack:
I installed it after installing AdsManager 3_1_8
As of your advice in the forum, I installed AdsManager another time after installing the language pack.

No result. Do I have to activate it, or is it only functional with a paied version of adsmanager?

I tried to override the following words:

latest ads
Classified ads
Content
Ads
Description
Contact

For example "contact"
As langugage constant I used "ADSMANAGER_CONTACT", Text "Kontakt"


Nothing worked. Am I doing something wrong or does it only work with the paied version?

Hello,

It is possible that there is an error in the german language file.

Try to enable the language debug in the configuration of Joomla.

Then on the front end of your website, check if there is an error.

I found a workaround:
The german language pack still does not work, but I found the correct language constants for my needed words in the file de-DE.com_adsmanager.ini.

In extensions/language/Overrides it was possible to translate them for display in the frontend.

The only text I could not translate this way is: in the ad: "see all ads from". Which language constant to use for this text?

Maybe I dont know how to activate the german language pack. I just installed it as described in the first post of this thread...
